The EPDM rubber waterproofing membranes SynTec by Carlisle are particularly suitable not only for the creation of water reservoirs and basins but also for the waterproofing of flat roofs.
This system uses the concept of laying the EPDM rubber membrane loose on an appropriate insulating panel, also simply laid on the substrate. There is no need to mechanically fix the membranes.
The membrane is fixed only along the perimeter of the roof, then ballasted with gravel or paved with concrete tiles. The large size of the sheets – up to 15.25m x 61.00m – allow for a quick and easy installation. If necessary, the membranes are joined together by means of a cold-welding system through the use of mastics and adhesives.
